Learning and teaching Chinese as a foreign language: A scoping review

Despite the growth of research in learning and teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (CFL), no scoping review published international, anglophone journals has been so far. A total 289 journal articles 95 were identified used to provide bibliometric mapping CFL over three decades. Data from sampled reveals great diversity focus that conducted more than 24 countries. The included also reflect an upsurge intensity across several key areas focus, some which are related distinctive linguistic features language. We report on methods employed by studies our sample characteristics their participants. Our field identifies gaps existing literature may subsequently inform any focused or comprehensive reviews. conclude setting out implications for future research, both terms substantive methodological approaches.
